How to Join as a Member Organization
ELIGIBILITY (SECTION 3.1 OF THE PROCEDURES MANUAL)
- Must be officially registered through the University of California Davis in one or more of the following ways:
- Aggie Life
- Campus Center for Involvement
- and/ or officially affiliated with the University of California Davis in one or more of the following ways:
- With The UC Davis Office of Sustainability
- With The Associated Students, University of California, Davis
- As a Graduate research group at UC Davis
- As an Undergraduate research group at UC Davis
- With a UC Davis Graduate School
- With a UC Davis Professional School
- Must have a mission statement or focus on environmental sustainability that is either consistent with or significantly related to the Environmental Sustainability Student Coalition’s own mission statement (see Article 1 Section 1.2 of the Bylaws.)
- Having goals that align with the values of the Environmental Sustainability Coalition, including but not limited to:
- The goals stated in Section 1.5 of the Bylaws
- The ethical considerations listed under Article 8 of the Bylaws
- General adherence to and regard for the UC Davis Principles of Community
- Organization information:
- Must have regular organization meetings or gatherings (at least one per quarter, excluding summer sessions.)
- Must have a membership roster equal to or greater than 5 individuals.
- There shall be no additional eligibility requirements other than those which are listed in this Section.
APPLICATION AND SELECTION PROCESS (SECTION 3.2 OF THE PROCEDURES MANUAL)
- Organizations wishing to apply to the Environmental Sustainability Coalition must undergo the following processes:
- Submit a formal written Request to Join the Coalition, which shall include a paragraph describing the organization, why they want to join the coalition, and how their mission aligns with that of the coalition.
- Submit a Member Organization Commitment Form.
- Optional: The applicant organization will be invited to attend and speak at the coalition meeting in which its membership is up for a vote.

How to Join as an Ex-Officio Member or Organization
ELIGIBILITY
- Must be a position holding member of a UC Davis organization, department, or facility, etc.
- Must have a mission statement or focus on environmental sustainability that is either consistent with or significantly related to the Environmental Sustainability Student Coalition’s own mission statement (see Article 1 Section 1.2 of the Bylaws.)
- Having goals that align with the values of the Environmental Sustainability Coalition, including but not limited to:
- The goals stated in Section 1.5 of the Bylaws
